Head of the Family (1996) is a campy horror-comedy directed by Charles Band. The film follows Lance, a small-town schemer who discovers that the Stackpools, a bizarre and reclusive family, are ruled by their grotesquely oversized and telepathic “head,” Myron. Myron controls his siblings, who possess enhanced abilities like strength and seduction, to commit heinous acts. Lance blackmails the family for his own gain, but his plan backfires when Myron turns the tables, leading to a darkly comedic and twisted showdown. The movie blends quirky humor with grotesque horror, delivering a unique cult film experience.
